I am originally from Utah, USA. My early plans were to pursue an IT degree from Utah State University. I instead moved to Sweden to be with my then-girlfriend, now wife. When arriving in Sweden I focused on another passion of mine, culinary arts. This work introduced me to the Swedish language, in which I am now comfortable speaking and writing (in addition to my native English).
Due to COVID-19 and its effects, the company I worked with was restructured and many were let go. I took this as an opportunity to refocus and dive back into the IT field. I started a coding bootcamp (Code Institute) shortly after the restructure was announced. I thrive in environments where I have room to expand my knowledge and take on new challenges and responsibilities. I believe that my energy and drive to challenge myself, as well as help grow and expand businesses, would be a great asset to any employer. My hope is to now contribute my abilities to the fast expansion of the digital era.
